Have you given up?

I almost did after being in my first company out of college. I was younger, naive and “cocky”! I thought I was going to ride the corporate ladder and continuously get promoted. Oh, it was working too! I went from entry level to leadership and I was very good. Still am, but at that employer I made a big mistake. I got comfortable. I only reached out to people when I needed something and I was also bored. I could talk to anyone at any level of the organization, but didn’t make an effort. I was nominated and participated in an executive leadership program the company sponsored too. It was an opportunity to engage and network with people globally. I am trying to make a point.
